We went paddle boarding at the lake. 

We dived in the  middle of the lake. 

I feit warm,I wasn't scared.

Hydroponic Tomatoes

Raranga Matihiko

I went to Waitangi  with my class.  I saw a big waka. It is called Ngātokimatawhaorua. I really enjoyed learning about paint 3D, Book Creator and wearing the VR glasses.

My Speech - Chaco is the Best Pet

What i did well Eye contact with the cord and made a speech under two minute.

Lake Ngatu - Keep new zealand beautiful

 

  

Yesterday we went to Lake Ngatu and we planted Manuka and kanuka.

 I planted 8 trees yesterday.

They were 360 trees. 

 Whaea Deb and Yvette were digging the holes because the ground was too hard.

It was fun.

Place Value Addition Strategy

WALT use solve addition equations using a place value strategy and place value blocks. At the beginning I used Pv blocks. the Pv blocks helped me with the strategy. First I put the tens together then I put the ones together. Now I don't need the PV blocks anymore.

Dear Chaco,

I was taking my dad to my shed to look at my TV’s. I got two tv’s!!! l was watching Hairy Maclary. I was watching X files. It is scary. Chaco is a bad cat because she scratches my paperwork.

Undersea Gardens

Learning Intention - I am learning to identify facts about seaweed and think about what we know and make connections to what we're reading.


I learnt that seaweed is algae and they don't have flowers or seeds -they have spores instead.

I thought the seaweed was interesting because you can make shampoo and ice cream and food.

Bubble Memories

We are sharing memories from our lockdown bubble.

Honeymakers

Learning Intention - I am learning how bees make honey and how beekeepers collect it for us to eat.

The bees get nectar from the flowers and The bees take the nectar back to the hive.

What do the bees live in?  hives

What is honeycomb? The bees store honey in them.

What happens first?
The bees get nectar from the flowers.

The bees take the  nectar to the hive.

The bees beat their wings to make honey.
When the honeycomb is full of honey,the bees put wax over the top.

NZ Birds

We are learning about NZ birds.

I am not able to post to my blog from home so my teacher, Whaea Deb helped me on our hangout.

Tui are clever. They live in the kōwhai trees.

Ruru are owls. They sleep in the day and hunt at night.

Kea are clever and curious. They like to explore and try new things.


Pīwakawaka spread their tails into a fan. This helps them balance and turn quickly when they fly.

Kawa of care class assembly -draft writing

WALT write a recount about our assembly experience. 

On Funky Friday  we do kawa of care assembly  We did it in the hall. We were on the stage and I was proud. We were dancing into the music and Kaiora and Hori and Millan were sneaking up the catwalk. I trip over the chrome book on the video. Lucy is a teacher Carrie and
Grace and Kaydee were watching a hamster video and Lucy looked and said What! What! What!
