NZ Birds

We are learning about NZ birds.

I am not able to post to my blog from home so my teacher, Whaea Deb helped me on our hangout.

Tui are clever. They live in the kōwhai trees.

Ruru are owls. They sleep in the day and hunt at night.

Kea are clever and curious. They like to explore and try new things.

Pīwakawaka spread their tails into a fan. This helps them balance and turn quickly when they fly.

  1. You did a great job today Reo. You used our reading book to look for interesting facts about each bird and you found a photo of each bird too. I enjoyed helping you create your blog post. I think the tui is my favourite NZ bird. What is your favourite NZ bird?
